Dr. James Bruce Stephens started our Evanston dental practice over 50 years ago. Now his sons, Dr. James Brian Stephens and Dr. Robert Bruce Stephens, carry on the tradition he started of excellence in dental care.
Dr. James B. Stephens
Dr. Jim, as his patients and staff call him, grew up in the North Shore area. He graduated from New Trier High School and attended the University of Utah for his undergraduate education. Dr. Jim continued his studies at the prestigious Northwestern University Dental School and graduated with his D.D.S. in 1985.
As a full service dental clinician, Dr. Jim enjoys the variety of dental treatments available to patients. Working with patients to make excellent healthcare choices, Dr. Jim tailors dental treatment to fit the ideal for both the patient and long term overall health.
Through Dr. Jim’s continuing education he is constantly learning about the breakthroughs in dental technology. He enjoys sharing these breakthroughs with his brother and our staff so that we can bring the best that dentistry has to offer to our patients.
Dr. Jim is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society and the Sanders Dental Research Group.
Dr. Robert B. Stephens
Dr. Bob, as he is known to both patients and staff, also grew up in the North Shore area. He attended New Trier High School and then continued his schooling at the University of Colorado for his undergraduate education. Dr. Bob then attended Northwestern University Dental School and graduated with his D.D.S. in 1990.
Dr. Bob is an excellent and caring dentist. He is very involved in patient care and promotes prevention as the best form of dental care. When patients require extra attention to achieve optimal oral health, Dr. Bob will work with them to create a customized treatment plan ideal for their situation.
From grandparents through grandchildren, Dr. Bob enjoys seeing all generations of patients that have been with our practice. He believes family is important and works hard to cultivate a caring and compassionate environment where our patients feel like family.
Dr. Bob is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Robert is also a Premier Authorized Invisalign Doctor.
