This is a review of some interaction only (not having attended the office for services), but I feel compelled to write it. I sent a message to the office this morning, desperate for an appointment and unsure of the situation with my own insurance, and very shortly afterwards a super nice lady called me back and literally took the time to explain my own insurance to me and recommend what I should do for the best outcome, even if it wasn't at their office. Honestly it was just really classy, and I really needed it, and it's worth noting. Thank you!

Even though I've changed jobs and moved, I still go to Stephens dentistry. I used to be plagued with dental problems, but since switching to them, my teeth have greatly improved. Highly recommended!

I've been going here since I was a kid, and there is good reason for it! As a child, everyone here made sure I was comfortable and wasn't afraid of going to the dentist. Now as an adult, everyone is still just as sweet and attentive and I still enjoy showing up and getting my teeth cleaned and fixed! Many cleanings and one crown later, I'm still happy to show up here. Thank you to everyone!

Being a new patient, I am always looking for clues as to how my experience will go with a practitioner. The moment I walked through the door, I was met with a warm welcome from both Nikki and Vanessa at the front desk. This to me is a very significant first impression. The people you see first and have visible in your practice, set the tone for what kind of service and care you want to convey to your patients. I was quickly called in to have a cleaning and check up with Kayla, she was personable, kind and efficient, she explained everything that she was checking on and polished my teeth to sparkly clean. Dr Bob came in to introduce himself and had an instantly likable gregarious nature. He is confident and knowledgeable and he talked me through the procedures he recommended and dialogued with me about some of my concerns with my teeth. There wasn’t pressure to buy into multiple procedures and he was honest about what the most important things to tackle and what things can wait. Olga, his assistant is so friendly and helpful, she was a calm presence and was thorough about explaining the aftercare of my procedure and walked me out to the reception area. I also want to mention that there is a strong sense that the professionals who work here really enjoy and like working here and each other. That really goes a long way with extending that great care and kindness to their patients. They deserve 5 stars and more!

Every time I’m here (and call them on the phone!) the staff, hygienists, and doctors are so kind, welcoming, and helpful. They address my concerns kindly and without any judgement, which I really appreciate. I started coming here while I lived in Evanston and, even after moving, I still make the trek up from Chicago to come here for cleanings and exams! I can’t recommend Stephens Dentistry enough.

I had a pretty intense procedure yesterday and I was anxious about it. Dr. Bob was extremely calm and supported me through each step. He talked to me constantly throughout the process-telling me what he is doing and what to expect. This ongoing communication kept my anxiety in check and my experience was so much better than I expected! I am deeply appreciative!!

Yesterday, for the first time since I was a kid, I didn't experience anxiety at the dentist. It was at the end of my cleaning that I realized I was totally relaxed. This is a major breakthrough! I have been going to this practice for about two years. I have to credit them for their kind staff, excellent care and good bedside manner. It's made a huge difference in the way I feel about going to the dentist and how I feel about my teeth.

Excellent visit to Stephens Dentistry this morning. All the staff are very friendly and took the trouble to greet me by name. Olga made sure that I was comfortable at every step and my crown replacement went off without a hitch. I even learned about how crowns are made in modern dentistry. Dr. Bob talked me through every step and I felt that I was in great hands.

Last week I visited Stephens Dentistry for the first time and had a great experience. The receptionists were very friendly, and check-in for a first-time patient was quick and easy. The office is very clean, comfortable, and modern looking. I saw Dr. Luke Stephens, and he made me feel comfortable right away. He took time to learn about my dental and health history, which I really appreciated. There are three things that stood out to me. First, Dr. Luke did everything for my first appointment; he took my x-rays, examined my teeth, and then cleaned my teeth for me. Second, Dr. Luke did not try to sell me on treatments that I didn't need or want. Last, Dr. Luke took the time to introduce himself to my wife, who was in the waiting room. I highly recommend giving Stephens Dentistry a try.

I highly recommend Stephens dentistry! Everyone there is polite, friendly, and positive, and the quality of the dental work is very high. It is clear that they pay attention to detail. I particularly like that the staff will provide more technical detail about what's going on with your teeth if you ask. Out of all the dentists I've been to in Evanston/Chicago, Stephens Dentistry is by far the best!My only warning for other NU students is that the dental insurance plans available to us are very stingy in what they cover... So it costs a bit more than other options. Hopefully NU will improve their dental insurance options. But in the meantime, if you have high maintenance teeth, Stephens is definitely worth it in the long run!
